Artwork & Image Usage Policy

This Artwork & Image Usage Policy outlines how DP Sign Print (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles artwork, images, design files, and visual assets provided by clients, as well as the usage rights relating to artwork created by us. By submitting artwork, commissioning design work, or approving proofs, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

1. Client‑Supplied Artwork & Assets

1.1 You are responsible for ensuring that any artwork, logos, images, fonts, or brand assets you provide are owned by you or that you have full permission and licensing rights to use them.
1.2 By supplying artwork, you confirm that its use by DP Sign Print will not infringe any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.
1.3 We accept no liability for legal issues arising from client‑supplied content.
1.4 Files should be provided in a print‑ready format unless design services have been purchased. Additional charges may apply for file corrections, conversions, or adjustments.

2. Quality & Print Readiness

2.1 We will advise if artwork quality is insufficient for printing, but final responsibility lies with the client.
2.2 Low‑resolution or unsuitable artwork may result in reduced print quality, for which we are not liable.
2.3 Colour variations may occur between digital screens, printed proofs, and final materials due to manufacturing processes.

3. Artwork Created by DP Sign Print

3.1 All design work, concepts, layouts, and artwork created by us remain our intellectual property until paid for in full.
3.2 Upon full payment, you receive a licence to use the artwork for the agreed purpose (e.g., signage, branding, print).
3.3 This licence does not include the right to resell, redistribute, or modify the artwork without written permission.
3.4 Editable design files (such as source files, vectors, or working files) are not included unless explicitly agreed and may incur an additional fee.

4. Proofing & Approval

4.1 Artwork proofs must be approved in writing before production begins.
4.2 Approval confirms that all spelling, colours, dimensions, and layout are correct.
4.3 Any changes requested after approval may incur additional charges and may affect lead times.
4.4 We are not responsible for errors that were present in the approved proof.

5. Image Usage in Our Portfolio & Marketing

5.1 We may photograph completed work and use images of your signage or branding in our:

• Portfolio

• Website

• Social media

• Marketing materials

• Case studies

5.2 We will never disclose confidential information or sensitive business details.
5.3 If you prefer your project not to be used in our marketing, you may request this in writing at any time.

6. Copyright & Intellectual Property

6.1 All intellectual property rights relating to our designs, layouts, and creative work remain with DP Sign Print unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 Unauthorised reproduction, modification, or distribution of our artwork is prohibited.
6.3 We reserve the right to refuse work that may infringe third‑party rights or breach legal or ethical standards.

7. Storage & Retention of Artwork

7.1 We may store artwork files, proofs, and project assets for future reference or repeat orders.
7.2 Storage is not guaranteed, and we are not obligated to retain files indefinitely.
7.3 Clients are encouraged to keep their own copies of all artwork and design files.

8. Liability

8.1 We are not liable for:

• Copyright or licensing issues arising from client‑supplied artwork

• Loss of quality due to low‑resolution or unsuitable files

• Errors approved in final proofs

• Colour variations caused by printing processes

8.2 Our liability is limited to the value of the goods or services supplied.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Artwork & Image Usage Policy periodically to reflect changes in our processes, legal requirements, or industry standards. Any updates will be published with an updated “Last updated” date.
